Het was gisteren weer een mooie avond bij de Knickerbockers. Om 19.00 speelde ons heren softbalteam tegen de Greenhearts. Het was een spannende wedstrijd en de Knicks wonnen met 11-9. Ze staan nog steeds bovenaan in de competitie. Daarna speelde het combinatieteam PhoenKnicks tegen Quick. Een high scoringgame met als uitslag 20-14. Lees het hele wedstrijdverslag onder de foto.

PhoeKnicks Walks Away Victorious Over Quick HS3 in High-Scoring Game, 20-14

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where PhoeKnicks came out on top against Quick HS3, 20-14.
PhoeKnicks secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the fourth inning. Davey, Giovanni, Hans, Marcel, Daan, and Davey each had RBIs in the big inning.
Quick HS3 fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored three runs for Quick HS3.
After Quick HS3 scored three runs in the top of the fifth, PhoeKnicks answered with three of their own. Quick HS3 scored when Bengel hit a solo homer and T. Bash doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. PhoeKnicks then answered when Tjeerd doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs.
PhoeKnicks pulled away for good with 11 runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Davey drew a walk, scoring one run, Giovanni drew a walk, scoring one run, Hans doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Marcel grounded out, scoring one run, Daan homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, an error scored two runs for PhoeKnicks, and PhoeKnicks scored one run on a stolen base.
Caspar got the start for PhoeKnicks. The righthander lasted four and a third innings, allowing six hits and 11 runs while striking out one.
El Magico led things off in the circle for Quick HS3. The bulldog lasted six innings, allowing 17
hits and 20 runs while striking out one.
PhoeKnicks tallied two home runs on the day. Daan had a homer in the fourth inning. Henry had a long ball in the second inning.
PhoeKnicks totaled 17 hits. Henry, Caspar, Seán, Tjeerd, Hans, and Daan each racked up multiple hits for PhoeKnicks. Caspar and Henry each managed three hits to lead PhoeKnicks..
